Transsexual

A transsexual person adopts typical gestures, movements and characteristics of the opposite sex and feels that they belong to it.

Transsexuals feel trapped in their own body and can usually only feel comfortable after undergoing gender reassignment surgery.

The abbreviation for transsexual is TS.

Transsexuals are people who do not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. Their gender identity is usually limited to ‘male’ or ‘female’. The term originates from a medical context and is therefore rejected by many trans people today.
