Blood games / blood sports
Bloodgames is the English term for blood games.
This includes all practices with blood, i.e. with bleeding wounds. This does not occur in most SM games.
The risk of injury is too great and the transmission of diseases is easily possible. Only in exceptional cases are such practices desired by SM learners. In the hard sadomasochistic scene among experienced BDSM practitioners, a small skin tear can of course occur in the heat of the moment, which is completely fine. However, heavy bleeding only occurs during so-called cutting practices, which are rarely desired.
Minor injuries during harder games can of course always occur, but are not intentional and therefore do not fall under bleeding games. In general, beginners are always advised against such practices.
The term bloodsports is often used synonymously.
