Androsexuality

Androsexuality refers to sexual attraction to men or male people. The term is mainly used when someone wants to describe their sexual orientation without stating anything about their own gender. This is especially helpful for non-binary people, but also for others who prefer a more precise description.

Androsexuality describes only the direction of sexual attraction, not necessarily a person’s own gender, gender identity or romantic attraction. An androsexual person may therefore have any gender background. The term belongs to a group of orientation labels that focus on the people one is attracted to rather than on one’s own gender classification.
