KFI / no financial interest
KFI stands for “no financial interest” and means in personal ads that the person placing the ad does not expect or demand payment. The term is often used to clarify that contact is private, non-commercial, and not intended to involve compensation. Depending on the context, it may also indicate that no financial contribution or brokerage fee is desired.
It is important to distinguish this clearly from paid sexual services: sex work is legitimate labor and is based on agreed compensation. Phrases like KFI should therefore not be used to conceal paid services or blur expectations. For both sides, honesty, consent, and clear agreements are essential.
