Ambiamory
Ambiamory describes people who can feel comfortable in both monogamous and polyamorous relationship styles. For ambiamorous people, what matters is not whether a relationship is monogamous or polyamorous, but whether the model fits the people involved and their own life situation. The term therefore points to a certain degree of relationship flexibility.
Ambiamory does not mean that a person is always happy with every relationship model. Rather, different structures may feel right depending on the person, the situation and the stage of life. What matters is that the relationship is based on consent, communication and compatibility. The term is mainly used in poly and non-monogamous contexts, but it is also relevant more broadly when talking about relationship diversity.
