Saliromania
Saliromania or salirophilia refers to a sexual preference in which smearing, splashing, or soiling people, clothing, or objects is experienced as erotic. The appeal may lie in the visual effect as well as in breaking cleanliness norms; humiliation can also play a role. The term “saliromania” is somewhat misleading, because it does not describe a medical mania but rather a preference.
The substances used can vary widely, such as food, paint, mud, or other relatively harmless materials. The use of bodily fluids or bodily waste is much more problematic from a hygiene standpoint and carries a higher risk of infection; such practices should therefore only be done with particular caution and clear consent, and contact with open wounds should be avoided. It is also important not to use materials that can irritate or damage the skin, mucous membranes, or airways.
