Sex Flush
During strong sexual arousal, temporary reddening of the face, neck, décolleté, and upper body may occur. This so-called sex flush is a normal physical reaction and usually fades after a few minutes. The skin changes may appear patchy and can sometimes resemble other rashes.
Sex flush occurs in many people, but not in everyone. Its frequency varies depending on individual predisposition, level of arousal, and physical condition. It is important to distinguish it from skin rashes, allergies, or other medical causes: if the redness lasts longer, itches, hurts, or is accompanied by breathing difficulties, swelling, or circulatory problems, medical advice should be sought.
