Aphrodisiac
An aphrodisiac is a substance or stimulus intended to increase desire, arousal or sexual enjoyment. This can include foods, herbs, plant extracts or other triggers believed to have a stimulating effect. In practice, the effect varies widely and is not always scientifically proven.
Many products are marketed as natural libido boosters, but not all of them deliver on that promise. Some people do experience a real effect, yet expectation, mood and setting often play a major role too. Importantly, no aphrodisiac can replace communication, affection and a suitable sexual context.
