Yohimbine
Yohimbine is an active compound from the bark of the yohimbe tree. In medicine and dietary supplements, it is sometimes mentioned in connection with sexual function, as it may influence blood flow in some men and may play a role in individual cases of erectile dysfunction. However, the scientific evidence is limited, and the effect cannot be predicted reliably.
Yohimbine can cause side effects and interactions, including a racing heart, agitation, increased blood pressure, or anxiety. It should not be used lightly as an aphrodisiac. Use should generally remain within a medically responsible context, especially in the presence of pre-existing conditions or when taking other medications.
