D/s
D/s is short for “Dominance and submission” and describes a dominant-submissive relationship or play dynamic. One person takes the leading, controlling, or guiding role, while the other submits or follows. D/s can be sexual, emotional, ritualized, or integrated into everyday life, and it is not necessarily tied to physical practices.
Clear agreements, mutual respect, and the ability to maintain or change boundaries at any time are essential. The power imbalance in D/s is deliberately agreed upon and does not mean that one person has total control. Certain areas may be explicitly excluded; any form of D/s depends on consent and ongoing communication.
