Demisexuality
A demisexual person experiences sexual attraction only after a trusting relationship or close emotional bond has already been established with another person. Demisexuality is often placed within the asexual spectrum and describes not whether a person generally wants or rejects sex, but when sexual attraction can arise.
The term is understood and experienced differently by different people. Not every demisexual person experiences sexual attraction in the same way or in every relationship. As with other identity terms, self-identification is what matters most. 04/25
