Demifluid
Demifluid refers to a gender identity within the non-binary spectrum. People may describe themselves as demifluid if their gender is partly fluid, meaning changeable or shifting, and partly constant or static.
This can mean that one part of a person’s gender identity remains the same over time, while another part moves between different genders, intensities, or forms of expression. A demifluid person may, for example, feel a lasting connection to a particular gender while also experiencing another part of their gender as changing.
How demifluidity is experienced varies from person to person. It can be related to terms such as genderfluid, demigender, non-binary, multigender, or genderqueer, but it is not identical with all of them. Which pronouns, names, or labels are appropriate should be asked of and respected for the individual person.
