Fraysexual
Fraysexual, also called freysexual or ignotasexual, describes a sexual orientation in which sexual attraction tends to arise or be noticeable mainly when there is not yet a deep emotional bond with the other person. As stronger familiarity or emotional closeness develops, the sexual attraction may become weaker or disappear altogether.
Fraysexuality is often described as a kind of counterpart to demisexuality: while demisexual people usually experience sexual attraction only after an emotionally meaningful bond has formed, fraysexual people may experience attraction that fades as closeness increases. This does not mean that fraysexual people cannot have relationships, do not enjoy closeness, or are necessarily noncommittal; the term only describes a possible pattern of sexual attraction.
Fraysexuality can be part of the asexual spectrum. The term does not indicate romantic orientation, relationship style, libido, or specific sexual preferences. As with all identity terms, what matters is whether a person feels the term accurately describes their own experience.
