Asexual

Asexual refers to a person who experiences no or very little sexual attraction. Asexuality is a sexual orientation, not an illness, disorder or conscious choice. It can present differently from person to person.

Asexuality does not automatically mean that someone does not want closeness, relationships or romantic interest. Some asexual people have sex, others do not; some feel disgust or disinterest, others do not. What matters is a person’s own self-description, not outside expectations.
