Genderfae

Genderfae is a non-binary gender identity and a form of genderfluidity. People may describe themselves as genderfae when their gender changes or moves between different genders, but is never male or, depending on how the term is used, does not include male or masculine gender aspects.

A genderfae person may, for example, at times experience their gender as female, feminine, neutral, agender, non-binary, or in another way, without experiencing themselves as male. How strongly, how often, or in which situations their gender shifts varies from person to person.

Genderfae describes a person’s gender identity and does not indicate sexual orientation, romantic orientation, gender expression, or desired pronouns. What matters is how a person understands the term for themselves and which labels, pronouns, or forms of address they use.
