Agender
Agender describes a gender identity in which a person feels that they do not belong to any gender or experiences gender as absent, empty or not meaningful. Some agender people also describe themselves as genderless, or say that the concept of gender does not make sense to them. Agender is part of the non-binary spectrum, but it does not mean exactly the same thing for everyone.
It is important to note that agender describes a person’s internal gender identity, not necessarily their appearance, body or behaviour. An agender person may present in many different ways. Some use feminine or masculine pronouns, others use neutral forms or personal solutions. The term genderless is sometimes used in a similar way, but it is not equally common or identical in every language or context.
