Novosexuality

Novosexuality refers to a sexual orientation that is experienced as not yet clearly defined or as changing over time. Some people use the term when they feel uncertain about their sexual orientation for a longer period or when it does not seem fixed.

The term may be connected to a changing gender identity, for example when someone experiences themselves as genderfluid and perceives their attraction or self-description as shifting accordingly. However, novosexuality is not a medical diagnosis but a self-chosen term. What matters most is that the person describes their orientation in a way that feels accurate to them.
