Urethral Dilation

Urethral dilation refers to the careful widening of the urethra using specially designed medical instruments. In medicine, it is used in certain situations to prepare for or carry out catheterization. In erotic or fetish contexts, it is sometimes referred to as “urethral play.”

Extreme caution is required: the urethra is sensitive, and improper manipulation can cause pain, injury, bleeding, and infections. Such procedures should only be carried out with suitable, sterile medical equipment, substantial expertise, and strict hygienic conditions; improvised tools are inappropriate. From a medical perspective, urethral dilation should never be done lightly or without professional supervision. In BDSM, this is considered a particularly risky practice and is not suitable for experimentation without experience.
