Genderfluid

Genderfluid describes a gender identity that can change over time or in different situations. The identity may shift between different genders or gendered positions, for example between male, female, nonbinary, or agender. The key feature is not a fixed state, but the experience that one’s gender identity is changeable.

Genderfluid is not simply the same as genderqueer. While genderqueer is often used as a broad term for gender identities that do not fit normative or strictly binary expectations, genderfluid specifically refers to an identity that changes. The way this change is experienced is individual and should always be understood as self-description.
