Safe
In a sexual context, “safe” usually means protected sex. It refers to sexual activity in which measures are used to reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. Condoms are commonly used for this purpose; depending on the practice, additional protection may also be appropriate.
It is important to understand that no method is completely risk-free. The most effective prevention combines clear communication, correct use of protection, and awareness of possible risks. Even with seemingly familiar partners, protection can still be advisable, especially if STI status is not known with certainty.
