Slave Cage

A slave cage is usually made of metal bars and is sized so that a person can be confined inside it. In contrast to a slave box, a cage is transparent or at least visible through. Depending on its size and construction, the confined person may only be able to change position to a limited extent, or not at all.

Slave cages are a form of restraint and can be physically and psychologically demanding for the person inside. Depending on duration and design, risks include restricted movement, pressure sores, cold or heat exposure, circulatory problems, and limited ability to escape. Such practices should only be used consensually, under supervision, and with an immediate way to stop; tight cages or prolonged confinement are particularly critical and should not be undertaken lightly.
