Slave Contract

A slave contract is a private agreement between Top and Bottom intended to give the relationship a more defined framework. It may set out wishes, boundaries, roles, rules, and expectations so that both sides have a shared basis. Such agreements are primarily about clarity and communication, not legal protection.

It is important that a slave contract is only entered into voluntarily, with informed consent, and in a way that can be adjusted at any time. No one should sign one without understanding their own needs, preferences, and limits as well as those of the other person. During the getting-to-know-you phase, a smaller rule set or informal agreement is often more suitable. In most cases, such a contract is not legally enforceable as evidence in court and does not replace consent or ongoing agreement; if conflict, pressure, or overwhelm arises, the arrangement should be reviewed or ended.
