Temperature play
Temperature play in BDSM refers to the deliberate use of stimuli that differ significantly from normal body temperature. This may include ice, cooled or warmed objects, wax, or certain warming or cooling products. Such sensations can feel intense or stimulating, but they should only be used with consent and clear agreement.
Particular caution is needed with heat, candle wax, and medical products. Candle wax must not be too hot; only products known to be suitable for body contact should be used. Wax with additives, glitter particles, or unknown composition can cause burns and should be avoided. Medical creams or ointments can also cause skin irritation, allergic reactions, or long-lasting side effects and should be checked for compatibility in advance. In general: start slowly, watch for skin reactions, and stop immediately if there is pain.
