Transandrogyny
Transandrogyny refers to a concept of gender that combines masculine and feminine elements and is therefore described as androgynous. The term is rarely used and is not clearly defined in all contexts. Depending on the person, it may describe a mixed gender identity, an androgynous form of self-expression, or a deliberate non-binary ambiguity in gender.
It is important not to equate the term with outward appearance alone. Androgyny may be reflected in presentation, clothing, or style, but it does not automatically indicate a person’s actual identity, body, or sexual orientation. As with all gender-related terms, the person’s own self-description should be the guiding reference.
