Androgynous

Androgynous describes a gender expression that combines masculine and feminine features or lies somewhere between them. This may refer to clothing, appearance, voice or body language. The term therefore mainly refers to outward presentation and not automatically to inner gender identity.

Sometimes androgynous is also used to describe a gender identity that is neither clearly male nor female. However, this does not mean the same thing for everyone and depends on personal understanding. Androgynous is therefore not a fixed medical term, but rather a descriptive word for a mixture, an in-between space, or an open gender presentation.
