Trigender
Trigender refers to a gender identity in which a person identifies with three different gender identities. These identities may be experienced simultaneously, alternately, or as fitting in different situations. The term is mainly used within the non-binary spectrum and may be understood differently from person to person.
As with other gender identities, the person’s own self-identification is what matters. Trigender does not automatically say anything about body characteristics, appearance, or sexual orientation. Respectful interaction means recognizing the chosen form of address and the individual identity.
