Needle Wheel

The needle wheel, also called a Wartenberg wheel or pinwheel, is a medical instrument that is used in BDSM as a sensory or pain toy. It consists of a handle with a small wheel whose edge is fitted with fine spikes or points. Rolled lightly over the skin, it creates a sharp, prickling sensation and can be experienced very differently depending on intensity.

Caution is necessary: the skin can become irritated, scratched, or injured, especially if too much pressure is used or if sensitive areas are targeted. The needle wheel should only be used consensually, cleanly, and in a controlled manner; sensitive areas, mucous membranes, and broken skin should be avoided. If bleeding, persistent pain, or signs of inflammation occur, use should stop immediately.
