Cis man

A cis man is a person who was assigned male at birth and who identifies as a man. The term describes the alignment between assigned sex and gender identity. It is neutral and says nothing about sexual orientation, bodily characteristics, or lifestyle.

In BDSM and sexuality contexts, the term can be helpful when roles, forms of address, or identities need to be described precisely. It should be used in a factual and respectful way. What matters most is treating each person according to their chosen self-identification and identity.
