Clitoris
The clitoris is a highly sensitive, erotically significant organ of the vulva and is located above the vaginal opening. It is part of the female reproductive anatomy and consists mainly of erectile tissue. Only a small part is visible from the outside, especially the glans clitoris, which is covered by the clitoral hood. Most of the clitoris lies inside the body and branches into tissue structures that extend toward the front of the pelvis.
The clitoris plays an important role in sexual arousal and orgasm. Its sensitivity varies greatly from person to person; direct or excessive friction can feel uncomfortable. During sexual activity, consent, gentle stimulation, and the person’s individual preferences should therefore be respected.
