Cowgirl position
The cowgirl position is a sex position in which one person sits or kneels on the lying partner and can largely control pace, depth, and rhythm. The other person usually lies on their back and can help support the movement. The position is often experienced as pleasurable because it allows a lot of control over intensity and the angle of penetration.
Comfort, consent, and body control are important. The person on top should pay attention to stability and a pace that is comfortable for both partners; the person underneath should be able to speak up at any time if something becomes uncomfortable. If there is pain, strain, or uncertainty, the position should be adjusted or stopped.
