Demigirl / Demiwoman / Demifemale

These terms describe a gender identity in which a person identifies only partly as female. A person may feel partly connected to femininity without fully experiencing themselves as a woman. The term is usually placed within the non-binary spectrum and can be understood very differently from person to person.

Self-identification matters most: not everyone who identifies as demigirl, demiwoman, or demifemale experiences this identity in the same way. There is no universal external definition or requirement for how this identity must be expressed. 02/25
