Feminization

Feminization generally refers to a process in which traits, behaviors, or outward appearances culturally associated with femininity are assigned to a person. In a narrower erotic or BDSM context, the term usually means a deliberate presentation in which a person, often a man, adopts feminine clothing, gestures, role patterns, or outward changes. This can be part of role-play, fetish, dominance and submission dynamics, or a personal preference.

It is important to distinguish this from medical or bodily causes such as hormonal changes or certain illnesses. Such changes are not the same as erotic feminization. In BDSM contexts as well, the practice should be consensual, clearly negotiated, and free of pressure regarding the person’s identity.
