Metrosexual

Metrosexual is a term used mainly for men who place great value on their appearance, grooming, fashion, and style. The word emerged in the 1990s and describes an urban, lifestyle-oriented, consumer-aware type of masculinity. It has nothing to do with sexual orientation, so it is incorrect to describe metrosexual men as having “slight homosexual traits.”

Today the term is mostly seen as a dated style and culture label and is sometimes criticized because it can reinforce stereotypes about masculinity. A well-known example often associated with the term is David Beckham.
