Platoniromantic
Platoniromanticism is a romantic orientation or self-identifying term within the aromantic spectrum. People may describe themselves as platoniromantic if they cannot clearly distinguish between platonic and romantic feelings or forms of attraction, or if they do not wish to make that distinction for themselves.
The term can describe an experience in which friendship, emotional closeness, affection, falling in love, or relationship desires are not clearly separated into “platonic” and “romantic.” It does not necessarily mean that a person cannot form deep bonds or experience romantic feelings; rather, the focus is on the blurriness or conscious rejection of this distinction.
Platoniromantic is one of many labels under the broader aromantic, or a_romantic, umbrella. As with all orientation labels, its personal meaning may vary; what matters is respecting the individual’s self-description and their own definition of relationships.
