Requisromantic

Requisromantic is a romantic orientation label used by some people whose romantic attraction is significantly reduced, difficult to access, or only rarely felt because of traumatic experiences, psychological strain, or severe exhaustion. The term is sometimes used to describe a personal relationship to romance without making any medical claim.

This label is a self-identification and should not be treated as a diagnosis. It should be used carefully and respectfully, since trauma and mental health conditions affect people very differently. If the experience causes ongoing distress, professional support may be helpful.
