Caning
Caning refers to striking with a cane and is a form of physical discipline or pain play in a BDSM context. Depending on intensity, technique, and body area, caning can be very painful and may leave visible marks such as welts, bruises, or, in severe cases, tissue damage. The term is used both for consensual BDSM practices and historically for punitive corporal punishment.
Suitable equipment, controlled technique, and a realistic assessment of tolerance are essential. Sensitive areas, joints, the kidneys and spine region, as well as the head, neck, and genitals must not be struck lightly or at all. This practice should only be considered with clear consent, experience, a safeword, and precise agreement.
