Solumsexual

Solumsexual is a proposed term for a sexual orientation or pattern of sexual attraction. The term is not yet widely used and is not generally established. People may describe themselves as solumsexual if they experience sexual attraction to another person only, or mainly, when they are alone with that person.

This may mean that sexual attraction arises or becomes noticeable only in a private, undisturbed, or especially trusting situation. In groups, in public, or in the presence of other people, sexual attraction may be weaker, absent, or harder to identify. Solumsexuality does not automatically mean shyness, secrecy, fear of being public, or lack of interest; rather, it describes a specific pattern of sexual experience.

Because the term is still not widely known, its exact meaning depends strongly on how a person uses it for themselves. It is not a medical or psychological diagnosis and should not be assigned to someone from the outside. As with any form of sexual attraction, consent, clear communication, and respected boundaries remain central, especially when closeness feels appropriate or safe only in private situations.
