Twink

Twink is a term from the gay scene that usually describes young or youthful-looking men who are often slim, somewhat delicate, and not strongly coded as masculine. The term mainly refers to a certain appearance and may be used neutrally, descriptively, or stereotypically depending on the context. It is not a medical or strictly defined category, but a social and cultural label.

The term becomes problematic when people draw quick conclusions about personality, sexual preferences, or sexual roles based on appearance. Such stereotypes can be stigmatizing and reinforce unrealistic beauty ideals. As with all body-related labels, the term should therefore be used carefully, contextually, and without derogatory intent.
