Lubricant

Lubricant is used to reduce friction and make penetration and other sexual activities more comfortable and gentle. It can be helpful for vaginal, anal, or other intimate contact, especially when natural lubrication is insufficient or additional slipperiness is desired.

Not every lubricant is suitable for every use. Water-based and silicone-based products are generally condom-compatible, while oil-based products can damage latex condoms and should therefore not be used with them. Compatibility with sex toys should also be checked, depending on the material. Flavored or colored products may be pleasant, but should be used with caution on sensitive skin, as they can cause irritation.
