Sub

In BDSM contexts, a sub or bottom is the more submissive or receiving partner. During a session, this person voluntarily and consensually gives up part of their self-determination to a leading or dominant partner in order to gain pleasure, intensity, or emotional fulfillment.

It is important that this role always rests on consent, clear agreements, and the ability to stop at any time. Being a sub does not automatically mean passivity, helplessness, or a lack of boundaries. On the contrary, when power exchange, discipline, pain, or other intense practices are involved, communication, safewords, and aftercare become especially important.
