Virgin
A virgin is generally understood to be a person who has not yet had sexual intercourse. In everyday usage, the term is often applied to girls and women, but in a broader sense it can also refer to boys and men. Depending on the context, the term may be neutral, culturally shaped, or judgmental.
It is important to note that “virginity” is not a medical condition but a social and cultural concept. Whether or not someone has had sexual experience says nothing about that person’s worth, maturity, or character. In factual contexts, the term should therefore be used carefully and without demeaning implications.
