Achillean
Achillean is an orientation or self-description for men, male-aligned people, or masculine people who are attracted to men, male-aligned people, or masculine people. The term refers to the Greek hero Achilles and is often used as an English-language umbrella term similar to “men loving men” or “masculine people loving masculine people.”
Achillean may include sexual, romantic, or other forms of attraction. It does not necessarily specify whether a person is gay, bisexual, pansexual, queer, or has another orientation; it mainly emphasizes attraction to men or masculine people.
Some people use achillean because it is broader than “gay” and can include bisexual, pansexual, non-binary, or transmasculine people. As with all orientation and identity terms, the individual decides whether the term accurately describes their experience.
