Gendervoid
Gendervoid is a non-binary gender identity, or a non-gender. The term comes from English and can be understood as “a gendered void” or “gender-related emptiness.” People who describe themselves as gendervoid do not experience their gender as present, but rather as an empty space where a sense of gender might be for other people.
Gendervoid is related to agender, but it is not necessarily the same. Agender can generally mean having no gender or not feeling connected to any gender. Gendervoid, by contrast, often emphasizes the experience of emptiness, a void, or an absence in the place where gender would be expected.
As with all identity terms, the exact meaning may vary from person to person. Gendervoid does not indicate sexual orientation, romantic orientation, gender expression, or desired pronouns. What matters is how a person understands the term for themselves and which labels, pronouns, or forms of address they use.
