Anal play / anal stimulation

Anal treatment is a broad term for sexual or BDSM-related practices in which the anal area is deliberately stimulated, stretched or otherwise involved. This can include anal play with fingers, dildos, plugs or strap-ons. Depending on the scene and the agreement, the focus may be on pleasure, power play, control, humiliation or physical intensity. The term is general and does not automatically describe one specific technique.

It is important to note that the anal area is sensitive and such practices should only happen with consent, caution and proper preparation. This usually includes lubricant, slow progression, clear agreements and the possibility to stop at any time. For more intense forms such as stretching or fisting, experience is especially important because otherwise there is a risk of injury. For a dictionary, it is also worth noting that the term is rather colloquial and is often replaced in specialist language by more precise terms.
