Breath control
Breath control is a risky erotic practice in which breathing is deliberately restricted or interrupted to increase arousal. The term is also sometimes used in connection with erotic asphyxiation. This is not a harmless play activity, but a practice with serious health risks.
What makes it especially dangerous is that even brief interruption of breathing or oxygen supply can lead to unconsciousness, permanent damage or death. Breath control should therefore never be downplayed. If the term is used, it should be only to classify the practice, with the clear warning that it carries a high risk of death and is not a safe “technique” for amateurs.
