Orgasm control
Orgasm control refers to BDSM practices in which a person’s orgasm is prevented, delayed, or deliberately managed. This can play a role in power and control dynamics, for example when the dominant partner decides when, or whether, the person may climax. The boundaries between mild control, repeated delay, and longer-term abstinence can be fluid.
Such practices should only take place with mutual consent, clear agreements, and a realistic sense of the physical and emotional strain involved. Physical overstimulation, frustration, or pain may occur, so breaks, aftercare, and a safeword are advisable. Long-term or highly restrictive forms of chastity should be approached with special caution and never without voluntary consent.
