Girlfag

A girlfag is a person who identifies as both female and gay. The term is mainly used in the context of identity, gender, and sexuality, and describes a self-designation in which female self-understanding and gay belonging are combined.

Girlfag is a specific, partly subcultural identity label and is not used or understood in the same way by everyone. Some girlfags also experience their identity in connection with being trans or with transmasculine self-understandings. It is important to respect the person’s own definition and not make blanket assumptions about gender, body, or sexuality.
