Wet sex

Wet sex refers to sexual activity in a wet environment or with liquids such as water or lubricant, for example in the shower, in the bathtub, or with deliberately introduced moisture. For some people, the wet setting itself is arousing; for others, it mainly provides a frame for certain practices or part of an erotic scene.

Safety and hygiene are important. Wet surfaces can be slippery, and water does not reliably replace lubricant, especially for anal or prolonged penetration. Bath or shower settings can also affect the function of condoms or sex toys, so suitable products and a careful, consensual approach should be used. If there is any uncertainty or pain, the activity should be stopped.
