Sperm
Sperm is the seminal fluid of the male reproductive system and consists of sperm cells as well as secretions from various glands, including the seminal vesicles, prostate, and seminiferous tubules. It is expelled through the penis during ejaculation. Typical characteristics include a milky-white appearance and a slightly alkaline pH.
In a sexual context, sperm is often discussed as part of ejaculation or in connection with the handling of bodily fluids. Its taste can vary individually and is influenced by diet, fluid intake, health, and medication; general claims about this are therefore only of limited reliability. When dealing with bodily fluids, hygiene is important, especially if mucous membranes, wounds, or changing sexual partners are involved, as sexually transmitted infections can also be transmitted.
