Chastity belt

A chastity belt is a locking or strap system worn around the waist and secured at the crotch to hinder or prevent sexual intercourse or masturbation. Historically, the concept is often associated with the Middle Ages, but many depictions of supposedly widespread medieval chastity belts are considered highly exaggerated or historically unsubstantiated. In modern BDSM contexts, chastity belts or similar devices are used as a form of sexual control.

Fit, material, hygiene, and safety are especially important. A poorly fitting chastity belt can cause pressure sores, skin irritation, circulation problems, or injury; prolonged wear therefore requires regular checks and the ability to remove the device safely at any time. Improvised or romanticized ideas without practical caution should be avoided.
